About Dr. Leo Gordon
Dr. Leo A. Gordon is the senior consultant in clinical surgery at the Surgery Group of Los Angeles. He has extensive experience in breast and gastrointestinal surgery for both benign and malignant cancers, as well as expertise in laparoscopic surgical procedures. He is also one of the country’s leading resident educators.
Education and Training
Dr. Gordon earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his surgical residency at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and completed a fellowship in surgery at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation.
Dr. Gordon has lectured around the country on surgical topics. He is an attending surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he has served as associate director of surgical education. Dr. Gordon has received the Medical Staff Chief of Staff Award and the Golden Apple Award for excellence in clinical teaching.
Dr. Gordon is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a re-certified diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He participates in the American Board of Surgery’s Maintenance of Certification program.
